The role is primarily as a kit player but experience of tuned percussion would be an advantage. The ability to march would be desirable, although not essential and there would also be an opportunity to be a part of the band Corps of Drums
Principal Trombone - A competent, strong player able to lead the trombone section and perform the occasional solo. The player should be at least Grade 6 standard, able to read bass clef and the ability to march would be desirable, although not essential
Second Trombone - A player of at least Grade 6 standard to join the trombone section. Must be able to read bass clef and the ability to march would be desirable, although not essential

The band is in the process of forming a new Corps of Drums and is looking for parade drummers to be a part of this exciting development. The band has purchased a brand new set of parade drums and training, uniform and all equipment will be provided.
This is an opportunity not to be missed. Join us and be part of the oldest Police band in the Country, if not, the world. We take part in prestigious civic events such as Remembrance Parades, Pride Events and other concerts in communities throughout the force area, during the course of the year. We occasionally take part in events outside of the Force Area with permission from the Chief Constable.
